These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement made between you and English Atlantic ("we," "us," or "our"), concerning your access to and use of the English Atlantic platform.

By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the platform.

Account Creation

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the platform and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Account Types

English Atlantic offers accounts for students and tutors:

• Student Accounts: Designed for learners seeking tutoring services.
• Tutor Accounts: Designed for educators providing tutoring services.

Each account type has specific features and responsibilities outlined in these Terms.

As a user of the platform, you agree not to:

• Use the platform in any way that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate or attempt to impersonate English Atlantic, a English Atlantic employee, another user, or any other person
• Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the platform
• Use the platform in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the site
• Use any robot, spider, or other automatic device to access the platform
• Introduce any viruses, Trojan horses, worms, or other harmful material
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the platform
• Use the platform for any harmful or illegal purpose

Scheduling and Cancellations

All tutoring sessions must be scheduled through the platform. Users agree to provide at least 24 hours' notice for any cancellation or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to fees as described in our payment policies.

Conduct During Sessions

All users are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully during tutoring sessions. English Atlantic reserves the right to terminate sessions or user accounts for inappropriate behavior, academic dishonesty, or violation of these Terms.

Students agree to pay for all tutoring services booked through the platform according to our published rates. Payment processing is handled securely through our third-party payment processors.

Refunds may be issued for canceled sessions according to the following policy:

• Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance: 100% refund
• Cancellations made between 12-24 hours in advance: 50% refund
• Cancellations made less than 12 hours in advance: No refund
• Technical issues on our platform: 100% refund or rescheduled session

Tutors will be compensated for their time according to our tutor payment schedule, with appropriate deductions for cancelled sessions based on the above policy.

The platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by English Atlantic and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Users retain ownership of content they create and share on the platform, but grant English Atlantic a license to use, reproduce, and display such content in connection with providing and promoting the service.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the platform or contact us to request account deletion.
